Photo: EmbassyDHAKA, March 28, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Embassy in Algiers has observed thecountry's Independence and National Day with due solemnity and festivity,highlighting the Liberation War's legacy, Bangladesh's development trajectoryand growing bilateral engagement with Algeria. A discussion session was held where messages from the President, the PrimeMinister, the Foreign Minister and the State Minister for Foreign Affairswere read out. He also remembered the victims of the July-August 2024 mass movement andacknowledged the contributions of international friends and well-wishers inBangladesh's independence. Earlier on March 25, the embassy observed Genocide Day with due respect,including a moment of silence, reading of messages and screening of adocumentary on the atrocities committed during the Liberation War in 1971.
