Bowlers Akila Dananjaya and Dilruwan Perera ran through the batsmen, taking Bangladesh’s last five wickets for only three runs while an unbeaten Mehidy Hasan Miraz (38*) looked on from the non-striker’s end. Dananjaya’s three wickets were his first in Test matches. Suranga Lakmal, who took three wickets during Bangladesh’s innings, started Saturday by bowling out wicket-keeper batsman Liton Das. Sri Lanka had also struggled at bat, but a 68 from Kusal Mendis and a 56 from Roshen Silva had carried the team to 222 in the first innings. Sri Lanka lead by 112 runs as the second Test enters its third innings.
