Sakib went to the office of the Bangladesh Directors’ Association on Sunday where he admitted his mistakes and apologised for his actions. Earlier on Saturday, the Dhaka-based film organisations after a meeting of the Bangladesh Directors’ Association announced their decision of indefinitely boycotting the actor. “We unanimously agreed that Shakib Khan has been making derogative comments about film directors in the media,” said filmmaker Badiul Islam Khokon, reading out a statement after the meeting at the BFDC offices Saturday evening. The Dhallywood superstar’s apology came after a meeting with actor Alamgir and General Secretary of Film Actors’ Association Amit Hasan. In the wake of his apology, some 13 organisations including the Directors’ Association has convened a meeting on Monday to reconsider the decision of the boycott.
