Bangladesh are through with a match to spare, thanks to their head-to-head advantage against Chinese Taipei, who are now second in the group with three wins and one defeat. The Chinese Taipei took an early lead but the home team scored twice in the first half, netted another after the break on Saturday evening. Chinese Taipei then conceded an own goal before scoring their second before the final whistle at the Bangabandhu National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. Bangladesh had swept past Iran 3-0 and sunken Singapore 5-0 before hitting Kyrgyzstan for 10 in their last match. Bangladesh will play against the United Arab Emirates in their last match on Monday morning.
