The Bangladesh Army has made changes to some of its senior-level positions, including Chief of General Staff (CGS) and the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI). Meanwhile, the present GOC of the 9th Infantry Division, Maj Gen Waqar Ujjaman, has been made Military Secretary (MS) of the Bangladesh Army. The current MS, Maj Gen Abdullahil Baki, has been newly transferred as commandant of DSCSC. The present GOC of the 10th Infantry Division Maj Gen Ataul Hakim Sarwar has been transferred as the Logistics Area Commander at Dhaka Cantonment. Deputy Force Commander Maj Gen Mohammad Maksudur Rahman at the United Nation’s mission in Darfur, Sudan, has been appointed as GOC of the 10th Infantry Division in his stead.
