The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is offering free electric taxi-boat rides along the Phadung Krung Kasem canal to Bang Lamphu during a trial, running until the end of February. Boats run daily from 9am to 5pm, carry up to six passengers and stop at 14 piers. Hua Lamphong Railway Station pier is a popular starting point and the route ends at Phra Sumen Fort pier. The trial is operated via the MUVMI app. From March, fares will be charged and set at rates similar to MUVMI electric tuk-tuks.
