(Photo: Democrat Party Facebook page)Abhisit Vejjajiva, the leader of the Democrat Party, has unveiled an ambitious policy platform aimed at transforming waste management into a key driver of green economic growth, while pushing for meaningful decentralisation of power to local administrations. Mr Abhisit, who is the party's prime ministerial candidate, said the Democrats will push for three laws to overhaul waste and pollution management nationwide. Equally central to the party’s platform is a push for genuine decentralisation, which Mr Abhisit described as essential to improving environmental management, public services and local economic resilience. To address this, the Democrat Party is proposing a new framework to strengthen local governments.
