It was learnt that Gemcon Group, Beximco Akhter Furnishers, Incepta group and one of the BCB directors Alamgir Hossain Alo have submitted the EOI on behalf of a companyBangladesh Cricket Board has got good response for the sponsorship rights of the forthcoming Bangabandhu T20 Cup 2020 as the last day of submitting the Expression of Interest (EOI) for sponsorship rights was ended yesterday. The tournament is also important as Bangladesh Premier League, the franchise-based cash-rich T20 tournament, will not be held in this year. It will be difficult to bring the foreign players amid the pandemic situation and BCB not only has planned to shelve the BPL but also has decided to run the forthcoming T20 tournament with only local players. However, the BCB officials also informed that they will invite international broadcasters through a tender to get the broadcast right. After the finalization of the sponsorship of the teams will be done, selectors will prepare a players’ draft list.
