According to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, in the last 15 days the use of broadband internet has increased by 150 Gbps. As per the official data of the ministry, in January the highest data usage stood at 1,270 Gbps, and on March 25 it was 1,400 Gbps. Post and Telecommunication Minister Mustafa Jabbar made the announcement on his verified Facebook page on Friday. “Bandwidth usage has increased in the country due to coronavirus and the sharp rise indicates that internet is very essential for us,” Mustafa Jabbar. GP had issued a notice for its 2,300 employees, allowing them to work from home, while Banglalink’s 1,100 employees received a similar notice.
