Ballance returns up as farmers buy more 'smart' productsBallance Agri-Nutrients has returned a greater rebate to farmers. The shareholder rebate is $45 per tonne, up from $20 the year before. An average Ballance shareholder will receive a $4500 rebate with payments from Friday. For farmers using a "high-value product mix", they will receive an average up to $8000, while large farms will see a rebate of more than $100,000. Ballance's Kapuni manufacturing plant returned to full production, achieving record urea production of 277,224 tonnes.
