Ryan Betley scored 22 points, freshman Jordan Dingle added 19 and visiting Pennsylvania defeated Providence 81-75 on Saturday. Maliek White scored a career-high 20 points before fouling out for Providence while Alpha Diallo added 16 points and eight rebounds. Brodeur kept the pressure on with a three-point play for a 43-27 Penn advantage with 1:36 left. Providence trailed by 19 early in the second half before finally cutting into the deficit with a three-point play by Diallo to get within 51-38 with 16:22 remaining. Diallo then scored but missed the free throw on the potential three-point play to close within nine at 51-42.
