Baguio eyes gradual reopening to tourism by September


The City of Pines said that the reopening of tourism would require the regulated, controlled entry and the monitored movement of visitors. Last June, Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong would only consider reopening the City of Pines to tourists by September at the earliest. A total of 16 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Baguio City on Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases to 144 with 79 of them considered active. Baguio City Public Market will also be closed every Sunday.
