KUALA LUMPUR: A 1-2 finish in the mixed doubles will be an icing on the cake for Malaysian badminton at the Commonwealth Games. Peng Soon will partner Goh Liu Ying while the other Malaysian representatives are Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai Jemie at the Games in Gold Coast, Australia, from April 4-15. Malaysia have not won a mixed doubles gold medal at the Games since the exploits of Koo Kien Keat-Chin Eei Hui at the 2010 New Delhi Games. “We have depth in the mixed doubles and there is a chance to make it an all-Malaysian final,” said Peng Soon. “Hopefully, we will make it a memorable outing for Malaysian mixed doubles,” he added.
