Minakshi was allegedly attacked with a cylinder after being brutally thrashed by her husband Praveen. “My father slit my mother’s throat, and then hit her thrice with a cylinder. Deputy Commissioner of Police (south-east) Romil Baaniya said Praveen suspected Minakshi of having an illicit affair. A neighbour, who did not wish to be named, alleged that Praveen would regularly thrash Minakshi after getting drunk.
