On Monday, September 17th, the Durham and Orange County School Systems made the decision for a normal school day. Buses were videotaped driving through flooded roads, and children where standing at bus stops during a tornado warning. While I am sure the blame game is in full swing, I was more curious about the weather information. Was it sufficient for the school systems to make the right call? One statement on social media in defense of the school systems said, "since when should a school system cancel school because of a tornado watch?"
