Fire, police and ambulance were at the scene of the Fruitvale Rd property in New Lynn after the alarm was raised at 6.34am today. Fire Service northern shift manager Karen Larking said everyone had managed to get out of the burning home, but a baby was being treated for smoke inhalation. The house and garage were well alight when crews arrived at the scene, she said.
