DHARAMSHALA: Apart from Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh, the center of Dera Sacha Sauda at Chachian village of Palampur area has also come under scanner in view of verdict in alleged rape case against Gurmeet Ram Rahim , the chief of the sect. It has remained in controversies over the illegal land dealings.It was in 2007 that district magistrate Bharat Khera had declared the property as benami. It was said that section 118 of the Himachal Pradesh Transfer of Land (Regulation) Act, 1968 has been voilated. Ram Rahim has shot many of his movies in the area around this center. In October 2016 during his visit to this place, Ram Rahim has also addressed a mass press conference over the release of his movie 'Messenger of god'.
