BT Sport has announced that both the Champions League and Europa League finals will be broadcast free of charge for everyone in the UK. Manchester City will be looking to win their first Champions League crown when they take on 2012 winners Chelsea on Saturday. That all-Premier League showdown takes place in Porto three days after Manchester United aim to avoid their trophy drought stretching into a fourth year when they take on Villarreal in Gdansk in the Europa League final. BT Sport presenter Jake Humphrey also confirmed the news on Twitter and insisted that it was the right thing to do. On Saturday, Rio Ferdinand will watch former club Manchester United alongside Joleon Lescott and Joe Cole, with Gary Lineker leading proceedings.
