An official order, signed by Registrar Prof Dr Md Nuruddin Ahmed, was issued in this regard on Sunday, following a decision taken by the university's disciplinary board. The permanently expelled students are Rafijul Islam, Nuruddin Nahid, Ariful Islam Sakib, Md Mazharul Islam Mishon, and Rahat Al Ahsan. Earlier, a five member probe team, including the proctor and registrar, submitted its report to the university's disciplinary committee in this regard, in the first week of November. Students of BSMRSTU had been then demonstrating on campus demanding the resignation of the former VC for his irregularities and corruption.
