BSF soldier shot dead by colleague in IoK


SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, a soldier of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) shot his colleague dead in Bandipora district, late on Monday night. According to Kashmir Media Service, the soldier identified as Chanderban, a resident of Haryana, was shot dead by his colleague in a camp at Mader in Bandipora after some altercation. During preliminary investigation by the BSF as well as the police, a BSF constable identified as Ravinder Singh, a resident of Kupwara, was found to be involved in the killing. The incident took place a day after an Indian army official was arrested with eight kilogrammes of heroin worth millions in the international market in the occupied Kashmir. The Army official belongs to Light Infantry regiment and is attached with the Army headquarters in Delhi.
