The incident occurred at the Gilabari border in the district's Bholahat upazila early on Tuesday. The deceased, Jahirul Islam, 25, was from Futanibazar of the upazila. "Members of Kristapur BSF border outpost opened fire on them, leaving Jahirul dead." "We held a flag meeting with BSF in the morning and protested the killing of the Bangladeshi citizen” he added.
