BSF, BGB identify 366 vulnerable stretches on India-Bangladesh border

It says these stretches are used by criminals to smuggle fake Indian currency notes, illegal migrants, gold, cattle, drugs and essential items and even members of insurgent groups. The report says India's Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) are now going to create a database of criminals, who use this border regularly for their illegal activities. We are taking measures to stop Bangladeshi smugglers travelling to India and vice versa," BGB regional commander Khalilur Rahman told a group of Indian journalists visiting border districts of Bangladesh. BSF DIG at Kolkata, RPS Jaswal added, “BSF and BGB now look after the India-Bangladesh border much better than what it used to be earlier.““Smugglers have no nationality. "In principle, it has also been decided to have link roads all along the border like India which facilitates BSF activities and those of the Myanmarese border guarding forces."
