Deputy Commission of Gulshan Police Mushtaque Ahmed informed the workers that their pending salaries would be disbursed in instalments before urging them to return to work following a second day of protests. Depot Manager Md Noor Alam said that the workers will receive one month’s wages on Wednesday. The back pay for another month will be cleared by Jan 31 while the remainder of the dues will be cleared in instalments until July. After receiving assurances, drivers and workers called off the strike at 12pm and returned to work by driving their buses out of the depot.
