The Bangladesh Police Service Association (BPSA) made the observation through a press release issued on Thursday. “A group of people with a vested interest, using different social media platforms and some electronic and print media bodies, are spreading misinformation over the killing of Major (rtd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan in police firing. Earlier on July 31 around 9pm, Major (retd) Sinha was killed at Shamlapur check-post of Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf marine drive in Baharchara union. Major (rtd) Sinha, along with Sifat and Shipra, had gone to Cox’s Bazar to make a documentary film on travelling. A Cox’s Bazar court remanded four more cops and three witnesses over the killing of Major (retd) Sinha on Wednesday.
