The accident took place when a Sherpur-bound three-wheeler collided head-on with a Sylhet-bound bus from the opposite side around 8pm Thursday, confirmed Faruque Ahmed, in-charge of Osmani Medical College’s Police Investigation Centre. The injured were taken to the hospital through a joint effort of police and fire service personnel, added the officer. The deceased were identified as, Juned Ahmed, 30, driver of the three-wheeler, Karima, 4, daughter of Kamru Miah, Arifa, 11, daughter of Fazlu Miah and a 36-year-old woman who is yet to be identified, police said.
