Kiwibank and BNZ have waived contactless debit account payment fees for small and medium-sized businesses until the end of October. BNZ said it waved contactless debit transaction fees from Wednesday. Kiwibank said it would apply its contactless debit payment fee waiver retrospectively, with contactless payment fees paid from August 18 rebated to them. ANZ has also waived contactless debt payment fees, and will review the waiver at the end of the month. “By waiving contactless debit fees, we hope more businesses make contactless payments available for people who are concerned about transmission of Covid-19.”
