Rezaul Islam, Bangladesh NationalistParty (BNP)-nominated candidate, has been unofficially elected in Naogaon-6in the 13th national parliament election after securing 1,08,866 votes. His closest rival, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md. Alongside the parliamentary election, a referendum was also held in theconstituency. A total of 1,47,618 voters cast votes for 'Yes' in the referendum while58,537 others cast 'No' votes. Election Commission (EC) Secretary Akhtar Ahmed disclosed the informationduring a formal briefing at the Referendum and 13th National ParliamentElection-2026 Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at NirbachanBhaban in the capital's Agargaon today.
