DHAKA, Feb 15, 2026 (BSS)- Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), which achieved landslide victory in the 13th national elections, got 49.97 percent votes with ‘ Sheaf of Paddy ’ symbol. According to EC data, a total of 50 political parties and 274 independent candidates contested in the national parliamentary elections. Among other parties, National Nagorik Party (NCP) contested in 32 constituencies with ‘Shapla Koli’ symbol and got 3.05 percent votes. Islami Andolan Bangladesh contested in 257 seats with Hatpakha (hand-fan) symbol and got 2.70 percent of votes. Senior Secretary of EC Secretariat Akhtar Ahmed said in the official results of the 13th national elections, BNP won in 209 constituencies, while Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami won 68 seats.
