Photo: CollectedDHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) – BNP-nominated candidate Shah Md Wares Ali Mamun has been unofficially elected from Jamalpur-5 constituency in the 13th national parliamentary election, securing 1, 99,344 votes with the party symbol ‘Sheaf of Paddy’. His closest rival, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Muhammad Abdus Sattar received 1, 13,201 votes. The results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in capital's Agargaon area today.
