A two-day seminar titled “Advanced Chemical Safety and Security Management” organised by Bangladesh National Authority for Chemical Weapons Convention (BNACWC) and Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) wrapped up on Thursday. In his speech, the chief guest discussed the role of Bangladeshi peace keepers. “As a first row signatory member of Chemical Weapons Convention, Bangladesh is determined to implement the convention,” he said. BNACWC Chairman Lieutenant General Md Mahfuzur Rahman, diplomats and noteworthy representatives from different NGOs were present as well. A total of 37 representatives, including 17 from OPCW member states and 20 from public and private independent organisations were also present.
