MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration has turned over 47 South Korean fugitives to the Korean government last week, the agency revealed on Tuesday. Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said that 45 South Korean nationals were flown aboard Jeju Air from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport last December 14. Two other South Korean, who were arrested in Cebu, were deported from Mactan-Cebu International Airport also on December 14. The BI said that this is also a move to decongest its detention facility at Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City. Mangrobang also said that the deportees were arrested at the request of the International Police and Korean embassy in Manila.
