BHPetrol Orange Run raises RM30,000 for three charity homes

PETALING JAYA: It was not luck, but determination and willpower that led two young runners to win the Boys and Girls categories for the BHPetrol Orange Run 2017 held this morning. “It’s my first BHPetrol Orange Run and I certainly did not expect to win even though I had that goal in mind. The BHPetrol Orange Run is an annual marathon event organised by Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd in collaboration with the Royal Malaysian Police, Petaling Jaya City Council, e-Curve Shopping Mall and Affin Bank Bhd. Boustead Holding Bhd deputy chairman and group managing director Tan Sri Lodin Wok Kamaruddin who flagged off the 11km charity run at the Curve Mutiara Damansara at 7am, said he was pleased to see another successful Orange Run after 12 years. The event raised RM30,000 and the fund was presented to three charity homes - Yayasan Kebajikan dan Perkhidmatan Perubatan Malaysia, Persatuan Rumah Kanak-kanak Ini Disayangi and Persatuan Sindrom Down Malaysia - with each receiving RM10,000.
