Speaking to Daily Star and other press, a tiff erupted as David accused Simon of trying to "copy" him. "So now he is constantly trying to be nice all the time - and it is really really irritating!" Simon couldn't help but escalate things, as he referred to David's "desperate" attempts to score award wins after various nominations. Things didn't simmer down then, either, as David interjected: "Can I just say I’m really annoyed that Amanda is in Simon’s home in Malibu? Oh, and your daily fix of Piers, Katie Price, Demi Rose and all your other Daily Star favs.
