From now onwards, people can download and install the app, named "Report to BGB", from Play Store (Android users) and from App Store (IOS users) and report on criminal activities taking place in the border areas of Bangladesh, said a BGB press release signed by its Public Relations Officer Md Shariful Islam on Wednesday. On December 18 last year, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, as part of her vision of Digital Bangladesh, inaugurated the paramilitary force's very own mobile application on the occasion of BGB Day 2019. This app will help BGB to provide its services more swiftly and effectively to the general population of Bangladesh and safeguard the country's sovereignty, the release added. Citizens can report crimes such as border killings, human trafficking, drug trading, smuggling, firearms smuggling, and information regarding terrorism through the app.
