The exchange of festive greetings took place between the two neighbouring border forces in a brief function held at the zero line of the Hili Immigration Check Post (ICP) gate of 285/11 sub-pillar on the Hili border at 11:30 am on Saturday. Hili ICP Check Post Commander of BGB Mir Hossain and Indian Hili Check Post Commander of BSF Shree Atul, male and female members of the two border guards were present while exchanging greetings. Both BGB and BSF, two neighbouring border guards, generally greet each-other with sweets and other gift items on the occasions of different religious and national festivals of the two neighbouring friendly countries. Such practices have been going on at the Hili border for a long time to further strengthen the friendly relations between the two friendly border guard forces operating on a common international border to maintain peace and stability.
