BGB-BSF coordination conference continues in Meghalaya

The four-day coordination conference between Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) and Border Security Force (BSF) has started at the BSF Meghalaya Frontier headquarters on Wednesday. This conference is held biannually between the two forces to discuss matters on maintaining peace and tranquillity along the border. A statement issued by the BSF Meghalaya Frontier says that the BGB has denied the presence of Indian insurgents in Bangladesh. However, they assured that they would take “stern measures” if they ever come across such a plight. During the conference, the BSF has discussed issues such as activities of Indian insurgents in Bangladesh, cattle smuggling, peddling of counterfeit Indian currency and gold, and other trans-border crimes.
