The Bharath Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) will approach the Union government and the BJP Central leadership seeking immediate intervention in the Sabarimala issue, BDJS president Thushar Vellappally has said. In a statement on Sunday, he said the law and order situation had deteriorated in the State. “The State government has treated the Sabarimala issue in a trivial manner. The government’s failure in tackling the situation resulted in widespread violence. This has evolved as a threat to the communal harmony in the State.”‘With the devout’Mr. Vellappally said that BDJS would always stand by devotees on the Sabarimala issue.
