Bundit said the company has so far been involved in the wholesale market but now plans to shift to the retail market to tap the vast opportunity for clean energy, solar, wind and geothermal power in Asia. Wholly owned by Bangchak Corporation, a leading local energy company, BCPG has already a secured contract with Sansiri PLC, a leading property developer, he said. In the new era, homeowners would be able to sell electricity generated by a solar facility attached to their home, he said. The growth target for the green energy business is about 20 per cent annually, said Bundit. He assured that the cost of electricity generated by solar energy is competitive and cheaper than electricity generated by conventional power plants.
