Photo: CollectedDHAKA, Feb 16, 2026 (BSS)- The cricketers are set to return to competitiveaction with the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL), scheduled to begin onFebruary 23. The tournament will be played in a one-day format to help players prepare forthe upcoming ODI series against Pakistan, which will visit Bangladesh inMarch for a three-match series. The BCL will be held in Rajshahi and Bogra in a double round-robin format,with the final scheduled for March 3 at the Sher-e-Bangla National CricketStadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. As usual, four teams - East Zone, North Zone, South Zone and Central Zone -will compete in the tournament. Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead North Zone, Mehidy Hasan Miraz will captainSouth Zone, while Yasir Ali Chowdhury and Mahidul Islam Ankon will serve ascaptains of East Zone and Central Zone respectively.
