All MFS providers have been asked to keep their own systems, distribution and agent channels functional, while ensuring enough cash at all agent points. The BB notice was issued to all MFS provider companies on the same day, saying the directive would be effective immediately. The central bank also requested the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Finance and Bangladesh Police to help facilitate countrywide mobile banking and movement of persons involved with the services during the shutdown period.
