Adrian Dix said the BC Emergency Health Services board will now focus solely on ambulance services, appointed a new board chair and created the position of chief ambulance officer to manage the service. Criticism of BC Emergency Health Services has been ongoing since the extent of the heat deaths became known. The Liberals questioned why the ambulance service “failed to respond” to the heat wave.
