Azma slams KP govt for not announcing Ramazan relief package

LAHORE :Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government for failing to announce its Ramazan relief package. She emphasized that while the KP government has yet to take action, Punjab has been successfully distributing the “Ramazan Negahban Package” based on merit, ensuring that aid reaches eligible individuals at their doorsteps. Bukhari recalled that last year, the KP government had used the Ramadan package for political purposes, distributing it based on the lists of party members in the national and provincial assemblies. This survey has allowed them to collect data from every citizen in the province, leading to the distribution of Ramadan Negahban cards to 4.2 million families. Azma Bukhari also emphasized that Punjab’s Ramadan package is the largest in Pakistan’s history, with 74 “Sahulat” markets now functional across the province.
