Even Objectivists often acknowledge that Ayn Rand's novels are better as philosophy than they are as literature. She was expert at turning her philosophy into stories: Atlas Shrugged did that powerfully. But I can't say that I ever read Rand and said, "If only I could learn to write like that!"
