On Friday afternoon, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader called on Shirin Sharmin at her home to hand her the nomination letter. For Patuakhali 3, Chief Whip ASM Feroz was chosen over Krishak League General Secretary Shamsul Haque Reza. In Naogaon 5, Barrister Nizam Uddin Jalil John, son of late Awami League general secretary Abdul Jalil, was given nomination. In Narail 1, Awami League has picked its own candidate BM Kabirul Haque over ally JSD President Sharif Nurul Ambia. Dhaka 7 has gone to Haji Selim, over Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League President Abul Hasnat.
