The Awami League will be sending a delegation to India next month to further develop relations with the neighbouring country and its ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). A 20-member delegation led by ruling Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader will visit India on March 11. Sources in the Awami League told the Dhaka Tribune that the delegation will tour India for five days. They told the Dhaka Tribune that with this tour, the Awami League will try to build a good relationship with the Indian ruling party and convince them to support the Awami League in the upcoming election. Sources said the Awami League has already submitted applications for Indian visas at Indian High Commission in Dhaka.
