The Awami League has alleged that BNP in cooperation with Pakistani embassy officials is hatching conspiracy and trying to destroy the peaceful election atmosphere now prevailing in the country. Awami League Joint General Secretary Abdur Rahman on Sunday said that Tarique Rahman had met with Pakistani officials in London to spoil the election and now BNP leaders are following Tarique Rahman’s path by holding meetings with Pakistani officials. “BNP, meeting with Pakistani embassy officials has created panic in the people about the election,” said Rahman. The Awami League leader came up with the allegation at a press conference held at the party chief’s political office on Sunday morning. He also said that there will be no rebel candidates from Awami League in the upcoming election.
