Owners of The Pear Orchard Lodge, Timo and Olivia Neubauer, have pledged to go zero carbon. Nearly 60 businesses are measuring their emissions, and 30 more have signed up to do so, as part of a goal to get 1000 companies to cut their carbon footprint by the end of this year. A growing number of businesses are committing to cut their carbon footprint, in a race to get other companies to do so by the end of this year. The company is one of a growing number in the Nelson Tasman region to be certified as zero carbon. The pair anticipated their biggest carbon emissions would come from their two cows and 14 sheep.
