By Stephen NakrosisAvangrid on Tuesday said it plans to open its first site in the state of Oklahoma with the Pontotoc Wind project. The a 147.5MW wind farm will consist of 33 turbines and generate about 500,000 MWh of power each year, enough to supply over 40,000 homes, the company said. The new project, located in Oklahoma's Pontotoc County, expands the company's presence to 25 states.
