The team of pathologists and detectives from the Homicide unit on Wednesday conducted 27 postmortems at the onset of phase three of the exercise. Government Chief Pathologist Johansen Oduor said 12 of the bodies worked on were adults while 13 were children. He said they were unable to establish whether two other bodies were those of adults or children because they were in a bad state. Oduor, however, confirmed that 16 of the bodies were male while nine were female; the other two were marked as unknown due to the level of decomposition. So far, 326 bodies have been exhumed from Shakahola forest.
