Australian players at the Indian Premier League face jail if they attempt to return home in the next fortnight under an extraordinary Covid travel ban set by their own government. The Australian government passed an emergency bill on Saturday that will see its borders shut to its own citizens if they have been in India in the preceding 14 days.
